Thursday, October 2, was an adventure

The other day, my friend, Lupeta, and I participated in the local library's Banned Books Scavenger Hunt and won a twenty-dollar gift card. On Wednesday, we received the prize, and then went out on a walk to Target to split and spend the money.

We went on a 2.8 mile walk, talking about our past relationships and sexy things.

I have been on this walk on my own time before, and on that walk I was greeted by a guy who seems to always sit on his front porch because on my return walk, he was still on his front porch.
"Hello," he said.
"Hello," I said.
"What're you doing?"
"I just came back from grocery shopping so I am headed home."
"Oh. Could I see you tonight?"
"I'm gotta to bed early tonight."
"What time are ye going to bed?"
"Sometime before ten o'clock."
"Do you have a phone?"
"Nope, I do not have a phone. Now I must be getting going now."
"Wait, where do you live?"
"Oh, about a mile or so down that'a'way," I cocked my head to the side down the street. Being nonspecific rules in these kind of situations. I took my leave, bidding him a proper farewell.

On our return trip, I told Lupeta that I would say "beep" when we are in front of the polite rapist's house.
"We could be in the middle of a conversation about muffins, and I would stop and say 'beep,'" I said.
So the conversation would be like, "Blah blah blah..muffins, beep."

Pirate Puppet

I made this guy on Saturday, September 27, 2014, as a sample for the library's pirate puppet craft program.
There was a template in which the parts of the puppet were traced out on construction paper, cut out, and glued onto a paper bag. I did not use all of the pieces because I wanted to preserve his Italian look.
He looks like a gondola rower.

Bill Scott Quote

Improductivity

I have been writing daily journals since my freshman year of high school. Yesterday, I finished my forty-first journal. Today, when I was going to start on a new, fresh journal, I found that two of my blank notebooks had been stolen. The loss of my last two blank notebooks, that I bought, kills me. I cannot update my journal today unless I go out and buy a new notebook.
I am one journal entry behind and I do not have a notebook to log it in.

"One does not simply" take my blank journals without my permission and expect me to be okay.

Today is always the most enjoyable day

In eighth grade, I had a physical science teacher who always said,"Welcome to another day in paradise" at the beginning of class, then he would say the date and add, "There's never going to be another date like this one."

One of my favorite manga series is Yotsubato!, a slice of life Japanese comic. I highly recommend it to anybody who could use a little reading to brighten his or her day.

Oh, Glorious Zebra Butt

The other day, I was chatting with a friend at the library when a little girl (not much older than a toddler) grabbed my butt. The father tried to pull the girl away.
"I'm sorry," he said.
"It's okay," I laughed,"I know that I have a nice butt."

Porpoise

I dedicate this blog to my friend, Gagan Lamba, who is in the process of putting together a club devoted to creative writing (and fanfiction). To support her and her club, I will brainstorm, write, and doodle.
